Associate Professor of the Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection Technologies Yelizaveta Chernysh took part in the Plant-Soil Restoration UUKi Twinning Network Workshops, which took place on July 4-5, 2023, at the Lancaster University Campus in Leipzig, Germany.

The main focus of workshops was to identify opportunities for new collaborations between environmental, plant and soil scientists from the UK, Ukraine and Germany to share research experiences, develop plans for authoritative reviews and joint activities for post-war soil restoration in Ukraine.

Our colleague presented a report on her own research within the framework of the research project "Phosphogypsum as a mineral resource for bioprocesses", which received funding through the MSCA4Ukraine project, which is funded by the European Union. This will expand the network of contacts for further dissemination of the project results on the use of phosphogypsum together with digestate to improve soil fertility.
