Associate Professor of our department, Doctor of Science, Yelizaveta Chernysh took part in the National Forum "Waste Management in Ukraine: Legislation, Economics, Technology", which took place on November 24-25, 2022.

The purpose of the Forum in 2022 was to determine priority ways to implement the Law of Ukraine "On Waste Management", to solve the problems of processing and disposal of war waste without negative impact on the environment, to promote investment in the creation of environmentally friendly waste management infrastructure, to implement environmental initiatives and projects, to establish and strengthen cross-border cooperation, to implement the principles of balanced (sustainable) development in Ukraine, to implement environmentally friendly, resource and energy efficient technologies, and to develop new technologies. About 500 people took part in the event during two days.

As a result of the work of the National Forum, a Resolution was adopted and an appeal to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, relevant ministries and departments was formed.

Participation in this event was carried out within the framework of the project "Bioenergy innovations in waste management: European experience in implementing a circular economy" (BIOINWASTE - 101085172 - ERASMUS-JMO-2022-MODULE) in the Jean Monnet direction of the EU Erasmus + program, implemented at the Department of Ecology and Environmental Technologies.
