Senior teacher of the department, Ph.D., Assoc. Prof. Iryna Ablieieva has received an individual grant under the program of non-resident scholarships for Ukrainian scientists from Universities for Ukraine (U4U). The purpose of this program is to match Ukrainian researchers and scientists (qualified applicants) with vacant sponsors (colleges, universities or research institutes) who provide remote financial support for research activities to each selected participant in the form of unconditional grants.

Iryna Ablieieva plans to conduct a planned research in the direction in which she is collaborating with Swedish colleagues from Linköping University. The project aims to investigate the influence of digestate on the accumulation of carbon in the soil. At the same time, it is planned to take into account the effect of anaerobic fermentation conditions during biogas production and the effect of pretreatment technologies applied to the substrate on the digestate, which is introduced into the soil, and its effect on carbon accumulation. Based on the results of the research, the article is planned to be published in a publication indexed by the Scopus database and/or the Web of Science Core Collection.

In addition, this direction of research corresponds to the program results of training and the content of the educational components "Fundamentals of toxicology and normalization of anthropogenic load on the environment" and "Ecology of urban systems", which are taught by Iryna Ableeva for applicants of the "Ecology and environmental protection" and "Environmental protection technologies" of bachelor educational level.
