Associate Professor of the Department of Ecology and Environmental Technologies, Doctor of Technical Sciences Yelizaveta Chernysh, who is the Director of the International Innovation and Applied Center "Aquatic Artery", took part in the Informal Meeting of EU Water Directors, which took place on November 20-22, 2022 in Prague (Czech Republic). This is a regular meeting of EU water directors and representatives of the European Commission on topical water issues, as well as on improving and harmonizing the implementation of legislation in the field of water environment protection, in particular the Water Framework Directive.

The meeting was attended by Veronica Manfredi, DG Environmental European Commission, Aleš Kendík, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Water Management Section, Eva Volfová, Deputy Minister of Environment, other representatives of the European Commission, and invited speakers. The meeting was moderated by Mgr. Lukáš Záruba, Director of the Water Resources Protection Department of the Ministry of Environment of the Czech Republic and Mgr. Ladislav Faigl, Head of Water Management Policy Unit at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic & Water Director of the Czech Republic. It should be noted that the Czech Republic currently holds the presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Our colleague Yelizaveta Chernysh made a report "Water management in Ukraine and wartime challenges", the subject of which is of critical importance for our country. We hope to develop cooperation in this area and fruitful cooperation with our European colleagues.
