The staff of the Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection Technologies of Sumy State University deeply mourns the untimely loss of a colleague and outstanding scientist, Professor of the Shostka Institute of Sumy State University, a respected member of the Dissertation Council D 55.051.04, Doctor of Technical Sciences Volodymyr Lukashov. His contribution to the development of science and education will leave an indelible mark on the history of our department, university and Ukraine.

For many years Volodymyr Lukashov has inspired and mentored generations of students and young scientists. His wisdom, dedication, and endless enthusiasm will always be an example to follow.

The strong and friendly ties that we have developed made our community a true scientific family. Today, as we mourn this great loss, we keep his memory in our hearts and are sincerely grateful for the years of cooperation and friendship.
