As part of the development of cooperation with the Masaryk Research Institute, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Ecology and Environmental Technologies Yelyzaveta Chernysh took part in the international conference "Wastewater", held on October 19-21, 2022 in Slovakia. She took part in the poster section on "Food waste co-treatment with wastewater: a case study under footprint approach", which was developed in co-authorship with Czech colleagues.

It should be noted that Yelizavtea Chernysh carried out scientific cooperation and stayed in this institute during 6 months. Experiments were conducted on wastewater and sludge treatment with the introduction of anaerobic treatment, monitoring of tributaries of the Vlatva River. As a result of joint participation in international conferences (International Conference on Energy, Ecology, Epidemiology and Information Systems (7th ICENIS 2022), online, Indonesia, 2022; 12th Conference with International Participation "Wastewater" 2022, Slovakia, 2022), one joint article was published in a foreign professional publication and one article is being prepared for submission to a journal indexed by Scopus and WoS.

A number of meetings were held to develop cooperation. In particular, in September, a meeting was held with the Director of the Department of Water Resources Protection of the Ministry of Environment of the Czech Republic Lukáš Zaruba on the development of cooperation to review the current challenges in the field of water resources of Ukraine and scientifically based proposals for harmonization of Ukrainian legislation with the EU Water Directives.
