The internship of Viktoriia Chubur, 2nd year PhD student at the Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection Technologies of Sumy State University, is about to be completed at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CZU) under the Erasmus+ Program.

The PhD student had the opportunity to work in the Biogas Research Team under the leadership of Dr. Hynek Roubík at the CZU, at the Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences. Besides working with colleagues on scientific publications, Viktoriia was also involved in setting up the biogas laboratory at the university, taking part in the preliminary defense of Master's thesis, and attending seminars and open lectures of guest scientists.

Viktoriia shared with us her impressions: It was an important aspect to get to know and communicate with future scientists from different countries, discussing different experiences in the focus of a similar research field. For me, an interesting feature of this department was the building where we worked, which operates on the concept of sustainable building. This internship period was productive for me because my dissertation research on biogas is the focus of the work of the experimental group.
