In accordance with the tasks of the project "Phosphogypsum as a mineral resource for bioprocesses", Doctor of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Yelizaveta Chernysh took part in the final December meeting of the Biogas Research Team of the Czech partner university (Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague), on the basis of which she carries out research within this project. Further areas of realization and the prospect of expanding cooperation within the Horizon Europe program were identified. Significant publication activity on the project and direct field research with sampling of phosphogypsum at the dumps in Sumy region were noted.

This project has received funding through the MSCA4Ukraine project, which is funded by the European Union.

It should be noted that phosphogypsum is a waste product of the chemical industry and its utilization is an important applied research area with the prospect of implementation within the framework of Ukrainian-Czech cooperation.
